Chitwan Medical College is one of the finest medical colleges in Nepal for pursuing MBBS. Popularly known as CMC, this college is known for providing best medical Education and advanced facilities. CMC was established in in 2007 and is affiliated with Tribhuvan University.

CMC came into existence with the efforts of a group of Nepalese doctors. The academics commenced in 2007 with a Nursing Course. Later on the MBBS programme was started in 2009 with a capacity of 80 students. today, the annual capacity in has been increased to 100 students.

In addition to MBBS, several diagnostic and fellowship programmes have been offered at the postgraduate level. The CMC Chitwan instructional hospital has 750 beds as well as all modern scientific services and high-tech diagnostic equipment. The Medical Council of India (now NMC), New Delhi, the Sri Lanka Medical Council, and WHO all recognise the MBBS programme.

The MBBS Program lasts 5 years, excluding a year of mandatory internship. Degrees conferred by CMC Bharatpur are well recognised by the NMC, New Delhi, as well as the Sri Lanka Medical Council.
