Located in the Janakpur, Dhanusha, Nepal, this college is one of the well-known medical colleges in Nepal. The goal of this college is to deliver health education and healthcare services through its highly professional academia in medicine. JMC was created in December 1999 by a group of academic and social businesspeople in the Ramdaiya Bhawadi neighbourhood of Janakpur City. With strong local backing, JMC quickly became recognised as one of the top Tribhuvan University-affiliated medical schools in Nepal. From the second year after it was founded, the institution was able to meet the standards for the annual intake of 100 students. Later, the college received recognition from both the Nepal Medical Council, Nepal Nursing Council and WHO.
JMC has two teaching hospitals where the medical students are made well versed with the medicine and other affiliated courses. One hospital is Ramdaiya with 160 beds, and another is with 365 beds. The Ramdaiya campus is where teaching and learning activities take place, while the college’s municipal hospital offers students internships and bedside learning opportunities.
The medium of education in JMC is English as well as Nepali. Indian students looking to study in JMC don’t have to bother about learning a new language.
