About B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences
BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) is a government-funded institute situated in Dharan, Nepal. It was established on 18 January 1993 and became an independent health sciences university on 28 October 1998. It provides admission in some top medical post-graduation courses such as MD/MS/MSc/MPhil and PhD. Also provide admission to BSc Nursing (4 years) and MSc Nursing (3 years).
Its goals include providing healthcare and engaging in cutting-edge health research, as well as creating a workforce that is socially conscious and qualified in the healthcare industry.
The Institute, which is sited in Eastern Nepal, has expanded its ongoing health care service under-skilledng to teach district concepts to Primary Health Care Centers, District Hospitals, and Zonal Hospitals throughout the region. This university is appropriately named after Bisheshwar Prasad Koirala, Nepal’s visionary leader in social uplift and ardent supporter of national integration.

To get yourself enrolled in the BPKIHS you must carry the documents mentioned below with you:
- Passport (Minimum 18 months validity).
- Class 10th Passing Certificate & Mark sheet.
- Class 12th Passing Certificate & Mark sheet.
- Birth Certificate.
- A total of 10 passport-sized photographs
- Medical University of Nepal’s official invitation letter.
- All documents must be authorized by the Ministry of External Affairs,
- The Nepal Embassy must legalize all documents.
Medium of Teaching
Those students who are not belong to Nepal, they don’t need to be worried. Because there are several students from different countries came for study MBBS. So the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences Dharan teaches in English language so all the students from different countries can learn easily.
