Father Muller Medical College

About College

Father Muller Medical College is a unit of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, a Registered Society owned by the Catholic Diocese of Mangalore. This is a Religious Minority Educational Institution established primarily for the benefit of the members of the Christian Community. The Postgraduate courses MD/MS/Diploma were started in the year 1991 and the Undergraduate course – MBBS was started in the year 1999. Like all other Educational Institutions under Catholic auspices, it is open to all persons irrespective of religion, caste or community. The undergraduate and postgraduate degrees awarded at Father Muller Medical College under RGUHS, Karnataka, are recognized and approved by MCI (now NMC), New Delhi.

In 2013, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) had accredited Father Muller Medical College with ‘A’ grade, making it the first medical college under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, to be so accredited. Now Father Muller Medical College has been re-accredited with ‘A’ grade with a score of 3.21 CGPA for the period 2021-2026.

Father Muller’s Medical College Scholarships

Scholarships at FMMC are given to appreciate and aid the efforts of the scholars. Students must apply for the same while enrolling or at the beginning of the session.

Scholarships offered at the college are as follows:

  • College / University Merit Scholarships: Students belonging to the economically weaker sections may apply for the necessary scholarships  (*depends on the school administrations).
  • Merit cum means based scholarships are awarded by the school to deserving students based on the score in the Entrance exam.
  • Merit & National Scholarships for brilliant students under Central & State Govt.
