How can I get direct admission in an MDMS in India

After the completion of MBBS and Internship, a doctor is eligible for the NEET PG entrance course. After qualifying for the NEET PG one can get into MD/MS, the post-graduate course for medical students. However, the competition for PG medical courses is very high and the number of seats is also pretty low.

Furthermore, there is a ray of hope for the doctors. Many private colleges offer direct admission to PG medical courses to aspirants through management quota seats. Students who have the eligibility but do not have the required cut-off marks can get direct admission to PG medical courses. Management quota seats are fewer and one has to directly approach the management of the Institute to secure a seat. And, this has to be done as early as possible.

Direct PG medical admission has an eligibility criterion. Without securing a required criterion you will not be eligible for securing a seat in management quota seats.

The process for direct admission in MD/MS begins in the final round, known as the mop-up round. The first three rounds are for general people with high NEET PG scores. The mop-up round is the final round of NEET PG counselling. The fees for MD/MS admission through management quota are higher than those for students who obtain seats through general counselling.
