The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the NEET 2024 application form on February 9 along with the comprehensive notification and information brochure. To get Admission in MBBS, BDS and AYUSH(BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses, aspirants must qualify NEET UG entrance Examination. Similar to previous years, this year’s NEET UG admission test has seen numerous modifications and the addition of new elements. Website for NEET UG 2024 changed

The official NTA NEET website was www.neet.nta.nic.in up until the previous year. The website address has changed as of this year. Now, the following URLs will take you to the official NTA NEET UG 2024 website:

Exams.nta.nic.in/NEET 

The latest announcements and news will be posted on www.nta.ac.in, the official NTA website. Hence, the NTA’s NEET 2024 website now has a different user interface and navigation than it did the previous year. Therefore, candidates should have a thorough look at the website before beginning to fill out the NEET 2024 application.

NEET 2024 Will Not Take Place Outside of India

Since 2021, NTA has administered the NEET UG test in foreign cities. NEET was carried out in 14 foreign cities on four continents in 2023. However, NTA declared that it will not be holding the exam outside of India this year.

Additionally, the NTA has expanded the number of exam locations across India. The number has now increased to 554 from 499 before. When completing the application form, candidates will have the option to select their desired exam centre from the list of centres that are available.

Exam fees for NEET UG 2024

The third modification is that the Exam costs for NEET UG 2024 have been revised by the NTA. Exam fees have increased for all categories of candidates, with the exception of SC/ST/PwD candidates, whose fees have not changed. The updated exam costs for the various categories are as follows:

Exam fees must be paid online by debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI, or Paytm. March 9, 2024, is the last day to pay the exam fees.

Documents which are not required for NEET application this year

The basic documents such as photograph, signature and finger and thumb impressions are still required, while some other documents which were required till last year, including Class 10 pass certificate and address proof are no longer needed. Revised syllabus for NEET UG 2024

The NTA’s adjustment of the NEET UG 2024 syllabus is the fourth and most significant change this year. The National Medical Commission has reduced the NEET 2024 syllabus. There are 79 chapters in the new curriculum, compared to 97 in the previous one. 

The topics from grades 11 and 12 of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) are covered in the syllabus. Candidates can access the updated syllabus on the NEET UG 2024 official website.
